Joyetech Atopack Dolphin Review – Blowhole

Premier electronic cigarette manufacturer Joyetech has released a new animal-based vape mod. You may recall the Atopack dolphin they released not too long ago, well now there is the Atopack Dolphin. The Atopack Dolphin comes from Joyetech is offered in 5 different color options (pink, black, white, yellow, and blue). Joyetech is known for making affordable and ergonomic devices that come with many features. Let’s have a closer look at the new Dolphin model.

Review: Joyetech Atopack dolphin

Atopack dolphin review

Manufacturing Quality

The manufacturing quality of the Joyetech Atopack dolphin is made with a tough plastic casing that is actually quite durable. There are not many moving parts and everything is snug together on the inside. The unit is smaller than your phone and is compact enough to fit into your pocket and strong enough to take a few dings.

A nice change with the Dolphin over the Penguin model is the transparent window that allows you to see your vape juice level. The transparent tank makes things much easier and allows you to quickly assess that status while on the go. Another change over the Penguin to the Dolphin is a much larger fire button that feels very comfortable and natural to use.

Atopack dolphin available colorsThe cartridge itself is made mainly with two different kinds of materials – PETG and Silicon. Both of these materials are safe to use, heat resistant, and recyclable. The cartridge capacity is 2 ml and 6 ml.

Flavor Quality

The Dolphin mod is designed with a JVIC (Juice Vertical Injection Coil) system. This injection coil system is very user-friendly setup that you fill from the top. The design is also good for the airflow as it is less intrusive than some of the other vape coil system designs we have seen.

The Atopack Dolphin gives allows you to vape in both mouth to lung (MTL) and direct to lung (DTL) vaping styles. The Dolphin package comes equipped with two coils, a 1.2ohm for mouth to lung and 0.25ohm for direct to lung. The direct to lung piece restricts the airflow nicely to give you that good DTL hit.

An addition that the Dolphin has over the Penguin is the rubber tip you can place over the mouthpiece to get a more accurate airflow with your hits. The mouth to lung hit even with this rubber seal is still a bit loose. The Dolphin does not have an adjustable airflow which is something that I personally like included with my mods. It is however neat that they offer the two different coils and rubber tip addition.

Focus On www.urvapin.com For More Vape Start Kit.

Power Flexibility

Using the Dolphin in either mouth to lung or direct to lung variations you have a max direct output of 50 watts.

Your coil determines the type of draw you will receive. The 1.2 ohm coil will provide MTL draws, while the .25 coil will provide you with DTL draws.

Although this is not as powerful as many of the other mods on the market it does do the trick.
Atopack dolphin side view

Ease of Use

The ease of use for this mod is very high – meaning it’s one of the easier to use mods that we have tested. The Dolphin uses a one-button design where you click 5 times to turn it on, 5 times again when you want to turn it off. There is no adjustable temperature settings, just the max 50 watts of power output.

To charge the Dolphin you simply plug in the included USB cord into the front of the device, it charges pretty quickly using the 2 amp charging current. The battery is internal so you don’t need to worry about external batteries or carrying replacements around with you. The internal battery is a 2100mAh that provides enough power for most portable vape users to last a whole day on a single charge.

Your vape liquid goes into the top of the cartridge as it uses a top fill system. It’s all very straightforward and user-friendly. If you are looking for one of the most simple to use and easy to enjoy vape mods this one offers both mouth to lung and direct to lung setup that is easy to switch back and forth from. The top refill system is a user-friendly design that makes refilling quick and clean. The design also allows you to worry less about having the device/cartridge leak in your pocket or carry bag.

To help in the reduction of airflow for better mouth to lung hits the kit includes a mouthpiece rubber sleeve that augments the performance to tighten up the airflow and make it feel less loose. To use this you simply position it onto the tip of the mouthpiece.

Portability

The dolphin comes with a 2100mAh built-in battery with 2 amp charging. The dolphin has 5 led lights on the front just below the micro USB charging slot that indicates how much battery remains on your charge. The Dolphin seems to charge quite quickly as a result of the 2 amp current.

The Atopack Dolphin is a fairy small mod (even smaller than the Penguin). This unit measures just 31mm x 50.0mm x 100 mm in size and 91g in weight.

Overall Experience

In summary, the Joyetech Atopack dolphin is a durable little vape mod. The mouth to lung and direct to lung options are options which makes this a well rounded vape. Something I should mention again is that you should remember to prime your wick, juice up the coil head before you insert it into the tank.

My time spent with the Dolphin was pretty smooth, I have not had any issues with this model – again maybe my one complaint but nothing to severe was the mouth to lung hit being a bit loose. The price is right in my opinion, and the portability and color options make this a device that will fit a wide audience of vape users.

JOYETECH RUNABOUT VAPE UNDER REVIEW

The Joyetech Runabout review is more of a preview at this point. The Runabout is a new pod vape system that uses 1.2 ohm atomizers and is a good vehicle for nicotine salt vape juice. By the way, Freeman is going to be launching a line of nicotine salts very soon! The Runabout pod system uses refillable pods designed for 50/50 salt nicotine vape juice.

The definition of ‘runabout’ is a small car, plane, or boat meant for short trips. Runabout style boats tend to be sporty and stylish. Those quick small runabout boats were the inspiration for both the name and design of the Joyetech Runabout. The device is shaped like the hull of a boat. In reality, that particular shape is ideal for a compact pod vape. The wide top portion contains the pod and the tapered portion naturally melds with the contours of the hand. We think it is a great idea!

We don’t have a lot to say about how it vapes yet. When it becomes available we will test it for the Joyetech Runabout review. So check back soon. What we can say now is that Joyetech is one of the best vapor product manufacturers in the world. Pod mods are a natural progression for Joyetech who were pioneers in the all in one mod concept. We expect the Runabout to be a terrific pod vape system.

Joyetech Runabout Review

the joyetech runabout review the newest pod vape system ideal for salt nicotine vape juice

We will start the Joyetech Runabout review with the basics. The Runabout will be priced in the $30 range. The kit will come with the device, two pods, a user manual, and a USB charging cable. The pods use a 1.2 ohm atomizer and are optimized for flavor. Joyetech recommends using nicotine salt e-liquids with the Runabout pods.

The Joyetech Runabout is 117 mm tall or 4.6 inches. It is 30 mm or just over an inch wide at the widest point. Finally, it is just over half an inch thick. With a 480 mAh rechargeable battery, the Runabout has a larger battery capacity than most pod mods. Each pod contains 2.0 ml of e-liquid.

The Runabout will be available in six different colors. There will be a zebra pattern, red wood, black wood, oak texture, riva (blue), and marble.

Joyetech Runabout Specs

  • 117 mm tall
  • 30 mm wide
  • 15 mm thick
  • 77.5 grams
  • 480 mAh battery
  • 15 second cut-off time-out protection
  • Overcharge protection
  • Short Circuit protection
  • Over discharge protection

Vaping The Joyetech Runabout

The Joyetech Runabout has a nice, large fire button. To vape, the user presses the fire button and vapes. Like most pod systems, it is great for vaping for beginners because it is so easy to use. If the fire button is depressed for more than 15 seconds, the Runabout will shut off. This is a valuable safety feature in case the button is accidentally pressed in a pocket or purse.

To turn the Joyetech Runabout off and on, the user presses the fire button three times. The small inidcator light located at the bottom of the device will light each time that the user vapes. It is possible to change the color of the light as well. When charging the battery, an indicator light signals that the battery is charging. When the light goes out, the battery is fully charged.

That is all we have to report for the Joyetech Runabout review for now! Pod vape systems like the Runabout and the Lost Vape Orion are catching on. We will be getting one soon and putting it through its paces.

Liip by Digiflavor – “one-time vape” with a cool design. Maybe still go down?

Some time ago an unusual class of devices appeared on the market of electronic cigarettes. To be more precise, we saw something similar at the time of the birth of the vaping itself and now we are faced with an attempt at rebirth. We are talking about disposable devices, designed for a certain number of puffs, or ” Disposable Pod Device “. Several well-known manufacturers have already offered their options and now Digiflavor has been added to their list with its Liip .
Liip by Digiflavor
As expected, almost all such devices are similar to each other. Designers especially do not bother with this moment, but still try to present their product in an interesting way. What we see here is the same case the size of a flash drive, made in several color options. On the front side is the name of the device itself, and the reverse side contains a nameplate with the name of taste.

It should be noted that the color of the body corresponds to a particular taste, for example, black – Tobacco. What can not but rejoice – the stub on the “drip type”. Dust and dirt getting inside is a so-so perspective. In general, the shape of the shell reminds me of ice cream, especially frozen ice. Well, it’s me to dilute the text a little: D The

technical part of this device can only surprise a very impressionable vaper. And indeed, even less is known about TTX than its competitors. In fact, more or less accurate information is only about the capacity of the battery and the liquid. Now think about how many puffs you have enough built-in battery for 240 mah. Given the experience of competitors – about 200 – 250 puffs.
Liip by Digiflavor
With liquid is still easier. There are four options available – Tobacco , Berry , Orange and Reddy. The main difference is the amount of nicotine. Berry and Orange – 36%, To b acco will be stronger – 48%, and in Reddy there is no nicotine at all. All tastes are sold in packs of three things, except Reddy . This flavor comes in a box with two sticks.

AUGVAPE Intake RTA Review

Augvape is generally good material and is no exception with this Intake, a  rebuildable atomizer  , simple coil , intended for the moderate aerial vape, while promising a total absence of leakage through an air intake from above.

Not very beautiful, but very well done

It is a question of taste, certainly, but all the same, the proportions and the design of Intake show little grace. It is cons remarkably well made, and suffers no aesthetic or functional defect. His threads are precise. It is equipped with a standard drip tip blue standard 810, very thin and soft. Another drip tip, black and higher, is supplied in the spare parts.

It is scratched by the master Mike Vapes ( American reviewer of his condition), which we will not know if he actually participated in its development or if he simply put his signature in exchange of some subsidies (well deserved, no doubt ). This image also shows a detail of the finishing quality: a very slight chamfer around the base makes it possible to mark the boxes less by screwing the atomizer on it. Moreover, the connector 510 is neither adjustable nor removable and this is not a fault since, firstly, all the boxes are now equipped with a spring pin, and secondly, the consequent impossibility to dismount the base is not a problem, even for cleaning: the base is designed for that.

The tray and the airflow are ingenious

The tray is equipped with two fixing studs and two columns that fetch air at the top of the bell to bring it under the coil. This system is efficient, can be noisy, and more practical when reassembling than the Zeus RTA Geek Vape for example. It also limits the flow of air, which, whatever the opening of the air inlets, will be restricted by the diameter of 3 mm of the columns. In the end, the Intake proposes an inhalation only direct, but slightly restrictive, say half that of a Zeus.

The air rises on the coil through a grid of three oval holes, which water well coil. In this picture, we also notice how the liquid is directed towards the cotton, through a reserve dug in the mass of the base.

Simple assembly

The mounting studs are accessible, it is very easy to position the coil and fix it. The Intake can be a good choice to embark on the rebuildable.

The pads are particularly well thought to use flat wires, here a fused nichrome clapton , for a value of 0.35 ohm, which befits the range of vape of this atomizer.

The laying of cotton does not pose any difficulty. It is possible to let it pass in the reserve, or to cut it short, according to the taste of each: I think it makes no difference to the use. Moreover, if I mounted here a fused clapton , the Intake also works very well with single son in 0.4 or 0.5 mm. The production of steam is in this case a little diminished, but remains abundant, the coil is more reactive and the steam is a little less hot, which I prefer to vape fruity or fresh liquids. The choice of yarn is therefore a matter of taste.

Airflow and top fill

The airflow adjusting ring slides on an O – ring: it resists just what is needed to not get out of order while remaining easy to handle. This airflow adjustment is a little symbolic, and Augvape could have dared the impasse. Indeed, the two air guide tubes on the plate already restrict the flow of air, and it is necessary to close the ring by at least 2/3 to begin to feel a greater restriction, which does not present that little interest. The Intake is at best with the air inlets open thoroughly, it feels good to the vape that it is its optimal point of balance.

The filling is done from the top, and we guess that the top cap is fixed not with a thread, but with a bayonet system, faster and convenient.

Vapons without leaks

This is the main feature of this atomizer. It’s been a few years since the builders are trying to design atomizers that do not flee, positioning the airflow up, OBS in mind I think it. But it caused them a lot of technical problems, to guide the air and avoid unpleasant agglutination. Above all, the results in terms of flavors were not very good. This experimental period has passed, Geek Vape, Digiflavor, and now Augvape offer us successful atomizers, without leaks but not without flavors.

It is not necessary to underestimate the other characteristics of this atomizer which, from 25 W, air flow wide open and with the coil presented here, offers a superb volume of vapor with liquids in 50/50, while remaining measured in terms of consumption. The flavors are frankly good, not as accurate as with a dripper dedicated to flavors, but related and pleasant. It produces a rather hot vapor, say warm to 25 W, but quickly warmer up to 40 W, which makes it suitable for the vape of greedy liquids, less to those of fruity or fresh liquids.

Technical Review

The Intake is delivered in a black cardboard cylinder, usual with Augvape. The box contains the replacement seals, a straight pyrex, a black drip tip and a 510 drip tip adapter.

Essential features of Augvap’s RTA Intake

Type of material atomizer
Diameter 23 mm
Height 50 mm
Capacity 4.2 ml

Mounting type simple resistance

Materials steel

Small doubtful observations

I come back to the design, as I find it clumsy: it is a better atomizer that his look does not let it appear. It is practical and very well finished, but this top cap a bit coarse, and all these different diameters between the body, the tank in goldfish aquarium, the top cap and the drip tip … make it unbalanced, it gives the coup It is like being part of the family of noisy atomizers, when it offers a reasonable vape, rather fine, economical in liquid. Mr Augvape, launch your designers on a makeover of this ato, he deserves it!

Small clever observation

We noted that the base is not removable. This is not a problem for cleaning, except for the airflow circuit, in the tubes and under the coil. A little bicarbonate poured into the air guide grid, followed by soaking in slightly vinegar water is enough to remove traces of liquid and remove odors.

Little playful observations

Beyond aesthetic criticism, the Intake brings many pleasures of vape: it is quite silent, it does not leak at all unless you leave it upside down for several hours, and its abundant vapor is faithful to the flavors of liquids. It is a good atomizer, equivalent to the Geek Vape Zeus, with a smaller airflow, and easier to mount. It is thus particularly suitable to begin in reconstructible: the laying of the cotton, always delicate to limit the leaks on its first montages, is here easy, and will not be able to generate leaks.

Personally, even if its vape is not as subtle as some of my atomizers, I increasingly take Intuit, Zeus or Themis RTA Mesh from Digiflavor to work: the absence of leaks is a real asset when wants to look clean in the office or at a professional lunch. On the aesthetic level, I prefer it with its straight tank and black drip tip, more discreet.

In summary

 WE love

  • The absence of leakage
  • Reasonable draw
  • The abundance of steam from 25 W
  • The quality of flavors for this type of ato
  • The quality of manufacture
  • Accessory equipment

 We do not like

  • The ungracious design

Conclusion

Apart from its somewhat crude design,  the Intake  has only qualities:  flawless workmanship, good flavors, pretty dense steam, and no leakage . It is also very easy to mount, making it a good candidate for vapers who want to embark on the rebuildable. Good job.

Sigelei Fuchai 213W mini – continuation of the most popular line

Very unexpectedly for all, Sigelei began to stamp various versions of its extremely popular Fuchai 213W mod, at first it was Plus version , now Fuchai 213W mini , but something suggests that both updates will be accepted with a bang.

Sigelei Fuchai 213W mini

Sigelei Fuchai 213W mini

Usually, the manufacturer when creating the “Mini” version, the manufacturer greatly reduces the size of the original mod, puts the built-in battery in and severely kills the functionality, but in Sigelei they decided to take a slightly different path.

Sigelei Fuchai 213W mini

Fuchai 213W mini is 32.5% smaller than the big brother. It is powered by just one 18650 battery, which is a huge plus in front of the built-in one! Maximum power dropped to 80 watts, which is acceptable for this format.

Sigelei Fuchai 213W mini

In general, the design remained the same and all controls in the same places.

Sigelei Fuchai 213W mini

But the 510th connector has strongly changed. For some reason, the grooves from the sticking of the tank disappeared, and the ground itself has become much smaller.

Smoant Charon Mini Review

The Smoant Charon Mini is the spiritual successor of one of last year’s most popular vape mods, the original Smoant Charon. However, apart from the name and the fact that they are both dual 18650 mods, these two devices don’t have very much in common. The Charon Mini has a completely different design, as well as a new settings menu and a much larger TFT display. To be honest, it looks so much more modern that it’s hard to believe that the original Charon only came out around this time last year. It just shows you how fast the industry is moving, I guess.

A Look at the Contents

The Smoant Charon Mini comes in a rectangular cardboard box with a picture of the mod and its impressive display layout on the front, and a list of contents as well as company information on the back.

Inside the box, we have the Charon Mini sitting in a Styrofoam holder, and underneath that is another compartment containing a micro-USB cable for charging and firmware upgrading, a user manual, a battery safety card and a warranty card. It’s pretty much your average vape mod kit, nothing out of the ordinary about it whatsoever.

Design and Build Quality

I still love my original Smoant Charon. I don’t use it as much as I used to, but I still think it’s a great mod, especially in terms of performance. That said, I was never crazy about its design. It was sturdy and ergonomic enough, but it just didn’t stand out at all. It had one of those small, rectangular displays that are considered outdated nowadays and a metallic, sleeve-like battery door, but no eye-catching elements at all.

The Smoant Charon TS 218, on the other hand, was a much more impressive device. It had a large, bright touchscreen that was actually very responsive, and it was a more refined device, overall. The new Charon Mini borrows the best features of the two previous mods in the Smoant Charon family.

The Charon Mini is a compact dual-battery box mod that measures 89mm x 45mm x 29mm and comes in four different colors – black, red, gold and rainbow. As you can see from the size specs., it is a bit more girth than most other compact dual-battery box mods, but I can tell you that thanks to its rounded edges and corners it is really comfortable in the hand.

The first thing I noticed about the Charon after taking it out of its box was the centered 510 connection. This is a huge improvement over both previous Charon mods, which had the connection located to the side. The connection plate is slightly raised and has a diameter of 25 mm. However, the fact that it’s centered means you can easily use atomizers up to 26 or even 28 mm in diameter without overhang being a huge issues. Personally, I wish all manufacturers would adopt the cenetered connection standard.

The next thing you’re bound to notice about the Charon Mini is the glass-like front panel. It gives the impression of a huge display, and even though only half of it is taken up by the actual screen, with the lower half being taken up by the two adjustment buttons and the micro-USB port, this still leaves you with a 2-inch color display.

There is no question that the gorgeous TFT screen is the main draw of the Smoant Charon Mini. With a 300 dpi resolution and 262,000 pixels, this is by far the best display I’ve ever seen on a vape mod. It has the exact same layout as the Smoant Cylon and the Smoant Ranker, but the size of the display and the clarity are on a whole other level.

On the other side of the mod, we have a magnetic battery door with a 3D-like multi-color design pattern on it. To remove the door, you have to stick your finger nail in a small slot on the bottom of the device, and pull. Unfortunately, this is not the best battery door I’ve ever seen, not even close. Although it has never come off accidentally, it does wiggle in my hand quite a bit, and that feel really awkward. I don’t know why the three pairs of magnets allow the door to move the way it does, but I do hope Smoant picked up this design flaw before the device’s official release. I received an early sample, so I don’t know if the final version has the same problem.

The fire button is located on one of the narrower sides of the mod, near the top. It’s a large, rectangular button that you can just as easily press with your thumb or the index finger. The button is nice and clicky, doesn’t rattle at all even when you shake the mod, and even though it’s made of plastic, it doesn’t feel cheap.

Finally, on the bottom, the Smoant Charon Mini has an impressive number of battery venting holes, so even though battery malfunction is extremely unlikely – if you follow the principles of battery safety – you won’t have to worry about gas build-up in the mod.

Overall, the Smoant Charon Mini feels like a durable and comfortable compact mod, with the exception of that wobbly battery door.

Menu System and Navigation

The new Smoant Charon Mini is powered by the company’s proprietary Ant225 chip, which appears to be very similar to the Ant 218 chip used in the Cylon and Ranker mods. These mods all have the same display layouts and settings menu, so it’s fair to assume that the differences between the two chips are minimal.

If you’re familiar with either the Cylon or Ranker mods, using the Smoant Charon and navigating through its menu will be very easy. Al these latest devices from Smoant have essentially the same menu and navigation, so I’m not going to go through all the different options again here. If you’re interested in a more detailed presentation of the Charon Mini menu, check out my review of the Smoant Cylon, it’s essentially the same thing.

To get into the menu, all you have to do is press the fire button three times in rapid succession. You will be presented with four main submenus – VW Mode (wattage mode), TC Mode (temperature control), Settings, and Wallpaper.

In VW Mode, you can choose between three preheat options (Min., Normal and Max.) as well as a Custom Curves mode, where you can set the power for the first 10 seconds of your vape, in 1-second increments.

In TC Mode, you can choose on of the three supported materials (nickel, titanium and stainless steel), TCR and a TC Custom Curves Mode.

In Settings, you can adjust the brightness of the display, set the time, choose one of two available home screen layouts, choose if you would like the default mechanical clock or one of the nine available wallpapers to be displayed as the screensaver, set the timeout for the display, and an option to return the mod to factory settings.

Finally, in Wallpaper, you can select one of nine available wallpapers. However, you can also upload a custom wallpaper if you’d like to personalize your device even more.

That’s pretty much all there is to the Charon Mini menu. You have to use the two adjustment buttons under the display to cycle through the different options and press the fire button to confirm your choice. There’s no selection or back button on this device, so to exit the menu or a submenu, you have to keep the fire button pressed for a couple of seconds.

I’d like to touch a bit on the UI here, because it’s my favorite feature of this mod. You have the same two UI options as on the Smoant Cylon and Ranker, but the default one is definitely the best. It’s styled like a car’s Rev. gauge, with the needle going up when you press the fire button. It looks just like the one on the aforementioned Smoant mods, only here it’s much larger, brighter and even has some moving elements – two gears in the lower right corner of the screen that keep rotating while the display is on. They serve no purpose other than to look good, but they do add to the overall charm of the mod.

The mechanical clock that serves as a screensaver is also worth mentioning. It’s a much cooler version of the classic clock available on the Cylon and Ranker mods, featuring moving gears as well as changing sun and moon symbols, depending on the time of day.

Battery Life and Performance

The Smoant Charon Mini is powered by two 18650 batteries. I wish it were compatible with larger capacity batteries, like 20700, but I guess some companies still prefer to rely on 18650s exclusively because of their reduced size.

Like Smoant’s other recently launched mods, the Charon Mini features fast charging at a rate of 2A, as well as vape-while charging, so you can hook it up to your laptop or other power source and keep vaping on it while it’s charging.

In terms of battery life, Smoant is notorious for being extra conservative when it comes to how low they allow the battery voltage to drop before displaying the “low battery” message and cutting off power, so you may not get as much out of the same two batteries, at the same power output, as you would from another dual-18650 vape mod. I personally don’t see that as a con, as the difference in battery life compared with other mode is negligible, and this is ultimately as safety precaution.

A small con worth mentioning is that the Rev. gauge UI of the mod doesn’t display the levels of the two batteries separately, but as a series of horizontal lines for both batteries. So if one is full and the other is almost depleted, there’s no way to tell.

Performance-wise, the Smoant Charon Mini is just as good as the Smoant Cylon, and if you read my review of that mod you’ll know just how crazy I am about it. This device fires just as fast. As soon as you press the fire button, you can hear the coil in your atomizer sizzling, and Smoant claims that it fires in just 0.015 seconds. The power ramp-up is also very impressive, especially if you set the preheat to Max.

I’ve been messing around with the Custom Curves mode, creating custom power graphs for all of my attys, but at the end of the day, I always come back to straight wattage mode, for some reason. Having lots of options is definitely really nice, but somehow I always find myself using good old power mode the most.

The Smoant Charon Mini has a slightly bumped up power level, compared to the Cylon and Ranker mods. Those two have a max output of 218W, whereas this one is capped at 225W. Does it really do 225W? I honestly couldn’t tell you, as I don’t ever vape at that power level, and I also don’t have the equipment or technical knowledge to test it, but even if it does, that 7W power difference is irrelevant.

I can’t really tell you very much about TC mode since I’ve only tested it with a stainless steel dual-coil build. It seems to do a good job of protecting the wicking when it reaches the set temperature, and has never jumped out of temp.control, but I hardly ever use temperature control mode so I don’t have that much experience with it.

Conclusion

The Smoant Charon Mini 225W box mod is a fine addition to the Charon family of mods. It looks great and feels comfortable in the hand, the display is hands down the best I’ve seen on a vape mod and it has the same great performance as the Smoant Cylon, which is saying something. On the other hand, I do hope that the wobbly battery door is just an issue with my early review copy and with the commercial version of the device, because it’s pretty annoying.

If you already own the Smoant Cylon or the Ranker, I don’t really see the point of getting this device, because they are essentially the same in terms of performance and features. The only real difference is the size and clarity of the display. But if you’re in the market for a compact and cool-looking dual-battery mod with a massive screen and cool interface, definitely check out the Smoant Charon Mini.
